Bammy’s Serves Up a Taste of the Islands Near Insignia on M

The closest you’re going to get to a fabulous Caribbean vacation is a trip to newly opened restaurant Bammy’s, and it might just be the tiny getaway you need. Bammy’s specializes in authentic Caribbean cuisine, from incredibly tender jerk chicken or pork, to rich and savory curries. There’s likely a few specialties you haven’t had before as well, like chickpea stew, macaroni pie, and cornmeal fry bread. Bammy’s brings a unique menu to the Navy Yard, and a whole lot of Island vibes. And it wouldn’t be a getaway without cocktails, and Bammy’s has the rum drinks and blended libations that taste like you’re sitting poolside. The pina colada with a blend of Jamaican rums and sweet pineapple juice is an absolute must. Bammy’s is open Wednesday through Friday for dinner only, and weekends for lunch and dinner. 

There is outdoor seating, and the team is taking COVID precautions especially seriously with touchless menus and masked servers. Curbside pick-up is also available.
