Did you know that 2020 is the year of the rat? And that in Chinese culture, people born in the year of the rat are often deemed clever, quick, and astute—much like their rodent counterpart? You can learn more about the Chinese zodiac—and celebrate East Asian culture in general—during George Washington University’s Lunar New Year Celebration! Free and open to students and locals alike, the annual event fetes the lunar new year with food, drinks, special student performances, and a raffle!

The event takes place noon to 1:30 on Jan. 23 at the George Washington University Science and Engineering Hall. Don’t miss it!
